About The Series

Reverie in Bloom came from a particular kind of stillness. Not quiet, not passive, but the kind that holds entire worlds inside it.

There is a frequency these women exist on that nothing around them can quite reach. The blooms that grow alongside them, the gold that threads through the compositions, the geometric planes that structure their world, none of it interrupts them. They are present and unreachable at the same time.

I kept returning to the flowers while working on this series. They are neither decorative, nor symbolic. They simply grow from the same place the women have gone to. Oversized, unhurried, completely unbothered.

The gold thread running through each painting felt like the only honest way to connect both worlds, the visible and the interior, without disturbing either.

That place has no clean name. But anyone who has ever gone quiet inside themselves will recognize it.

Artist's Note

"Reverie is not absence. It is the most inhabited state there is."
