Hi! I'm Bhawana

I’m a contemporary artist whose work brings figurative forms into dialogue with geometry and organic elements, exploring stillness and introspection through the balance of softness and structure.

About Me

My background is in fashion and design. I studied at AIFD Bangalore and later at Arsutoria in Italy, where I developed a deeper understanding of material, proportion, construction and craft. Over time, that way of seeing moved beyond fashion and found its place in my art.

What began as a personal pursuit gradually became my full-time practice. The shift felt less like leaving one discipline for another and more like finding a medium that gave me greater freedom to explore ideas in my own way.

My Work

An interplay of the figural and the elemental, where a living form and the world around it blur into something that could only exist in paint. Working across acrylic, gouache, watercolour and oils, I push myself constantly across mediums, scale and form. Each piece is an attempt to find stillness within tension, and connection within contrast. From intimate easel paintings to large-scale mural, the intention remains the same: to elevate how a place feels to the people who inhabit it.
